Milan prosecutor Marcello Viola says leading Milan ultra member Luca Lucci, who was arrested on Monday, met with Rossoneri captain Davide Calabria at a bar in February 2023, although the content of their conversation remains unknown.

Several Milan and Inter ultras were arrested in an anti-mafia operation on Monday morning. Authorities describe the Milan clubs and their members as ‘damaged parties’, but investigators have recorded meetings and conversations between ultras members now in custody and representatives of the two clubs.

Milan’s prosecutor, Marcello Viola, and the national prosecutor for the fight against the mafia and terrorism, Giovanni Melillo, held a press conference on Monday to explain the police operation.

As reported by Calcio & Finanza, some of those arrested on Monday had contacts with Inter and Milan players, as well as Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi.

Viola stressed that no one from Inter and Milan is under investigation, as police see a form of “submission and not complicity” in the contact between club members and ultras.

Milan’s prosecutor revealed that Lucci, a leading ultras member of Milan’s Curva Sud, met Rossoneri captain Calabria on February 8, 2023 at a bar in Cologno Monzese.

It is reported that Giancarlo Capelli, another Milanese ultra known as Il Barone, “cryptically” informed Lucci about the upcoming meeting without mentioning who would come to talk to him.

“Based on the images recorded by investigators, it is reasonable to assess that the subject in question, mentioned in an unambiguously cryptic telephone conversation, can be identified in the form of Davide Calabria, player and captain of Milan,” the statement said. Police. What Lucci told Calabria that day has not been reported.

Calabria apparently wasn’t the only one who had occasional contact with ultrasleds who were later arrested. Police said they included ex-Inter defender Milan Skriniar, now at PSG, and Nerazzurri coach Inzaghi.

Phone taps appear to prove that the Nerazzurri tactician spoke in 2023 to Marco Ferdico, an Inter ultra who was trying to get extra tickets for the 2022-2023 Coppa Italia final.
