Lenoir woman jailed for theft

Darshea Shermane Horton, 30, of NW Arlington Circle in Lenoir, was arrested yesterday (September 30) by Lenoir Police on a charge of theft over $1,000. Horton was jailed at the Caldwell County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond, secured. She remained in custody at last report. An appearance in District Court was scheduled today in Lenoir, with additional court dates on Wednesday and Thursday (October 2 and 3) on one count of cocaine and one count of theft. Over the next two months, Horton will also appear in court in Burke, Alexander and Catawba counties on several charges.
