Castleton-on-Hudson man accused of possessing child abuse images

CASTLETON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. (NEWS10) – New York State Police have reported the arrest of a Castleton-on-Hudson man following a sex crimes investigation. Brayden Ayer, 20, faces multiple charges.

Ayer is accused of possessing and distributing images depicting the sexual exploitation of a child, according to state police. He was taken into custody on September 27 after police executed a search warrant at his home in Castleton-on-Hudson.

Ayer was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child. He was arraigned in Schodack Town Court before being remanded to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 bail.
