Biden-Harris Would Rather Shut Down the US Economy Than Stand Up to Unions – Def-Con News

The year is 2024 and our ports are functioning just as they did seventy years ago. Instead of being automated, the dockworkers unions want things to be done in a backwards manner.

The depressed state of our ports has contributed to the supply chain issues that are causing problems for small businesses across the country.

This from frontpagemag.com.

With the elections approaching, the union decides this is the perfect time to cripple the economy.

I will paralyze you and you have no idea what that means.

Harold Daggett, the boss of the International Longshoremen’s Association, has long presented himself as a staunch advocate for workers, even though he has lived in luxury, owned a yacht and driven a Bentley – and has fought alleged ties to the mafia.

Daggett said, grabbing his neck in a choking gesture:

They will be like this. I will paralyze you. I will paralyze you and you have no idea what that means. Nobody does that.

Meanwhile, Daggett — who worked at the ILA for 57 years and took over as president in 2011 — collected $728,000 in compensation from the ILA last year.

He collected another $173,000 as president emeritus of a local union chapter, according to Labor Department records.

He lives in a 7,136-square-foot home valued at $1.7 million on a 10-acre lot in Sparta, New Jersey, according to Zillow and NJ Property Records.

Daggett previously owned the Obsession – a 75-foot yacht – and according to The New York Times:

His family reportedly saw him driving around in a Bentley.

In 2005, the Justice Department accused Daggett of being an “associate” with the Genovese crime family – one of the “Five Families” of the American Mafia.

During the course of the trial, one of Daggett’s co-defendants – Lawrence Ricci, an alleged major mafia figure – disappeared. His body was found weeks later decomposed in the trunk of a car outside a New Jersey restaurant.

When Daggett says, “I’ll cripple you,” he means it.

The strike is already turning violent, with union thugs attacking truck drivers.

Dementia Joe (read: Obama) could stop this if he wanted to, but he does choose to stand with the criminals who are crippling America.

Thousands of unionized dockworkers on the East and Gulf Coasts walked off work Tuesday, stranding cargo containers, choking consumer goods supply chains and costing the economy an estimated $5 billion a day.

Dementia Joe still has one card to play: a nearly 80-year-old law that forces union members to return to work while negotiations continue.

On Sunday he said he would not get involved.

They are collective bargaining. I don’t believe in Taft-Hartley.

On Monday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre echoed that sentiment.

Referring to Biden as ‘pro-union’:

I know there is a question about the Taft-Hartley. We have never called for the Taft-Hartley to break a strike and are not considering doing so now.

Final thought: Life can get very serious very quickly. Within two weeks the shelves could be empty and people could be at each other’s throats.
