Danville woman accused of ‘recruiting’ a young girl for her boyfriend

BLOOMSBURG — The Press Enterprise reports… A Danville woman is facing sex charges after allegedly “procuring” a girl to have illegal contact with her boyfriend. Bethany Landis, 38, is facing new charges of child sexual exploitation and corruption of minors. These are in addition to her existing five misdemeanor charges.

Her boyfriend, 43-year-old Dennis Aikey of Danville, faces 24 felony counts involving illegal contact with the same child. The victim, now 14 or 15 years old, reported being sexually abused by Aikey, in Landis’ presence. Both suspects admitted to performing sexual acts in the presence of the child. Landis and Aikey are being held in the Montour County Jail with bail set at $15,000 and $25,000, respectively.
