KARACHI: Sindh Police Chief Ghulam Nabi Memon has directed that in view of the present and its requirements, the assistance of technical methods should also be deployed against the network of drug mafias so that the result of police action against the drug mafias can be felt are. the public domain.

The DIGs of Western, Eastern and Southern Areas briefed participants at a review meeting on anti-drug measures taken, arrests of absconding suspects and formal and informal inspections of police stations.

The meeting was told that mafias are making young and new faces their favorite targets for supply and sale of drugs and ensuring successful use of Talaash app and other tools for arrest of absconding suspects.

IGP Memon said that the measures taken against the drug mafia so far are inadequate, and not only should they be updated and made effective by gradually improving and making them effective, but the process of action against them will also be faster and extraordinary must be made.

He said that keeping in mind the present and its requirements, the help of technical methods should also be deployed against the network of drug mafias so that the results of police action against the drug mafias can be made tangible in the public domain.

He directed that specially experienced and expert officers should be appointed to investigate other serious cases including narcotics control while effective case challengers should also be presented before the court along with the prosecution on the basis of solid evidence.
