Residents of Polokwane protest against high bills and lack of water

POLOKWANE – Residents of Polokwane are threatening to close the capital of Limpopo.

They are angry about the high municipal bills and the lack of access to drinking water.

But Mayor John Mpe says the protests are being organized by members of the construction mafia.

He says law enforcement will ensure that education and work are not disrupted.
