Training on RMNCH (Reproductive Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health) for UNRWA Medical Staff FSR# 619 – Jordan

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SERVICES

  • Develop the training curriculum, PPT presentations and handouts.

    Developing training methodology.

    Develop training schedules and activities.

    Training duration 3 full working days 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. (The training lasts a total of 19 days)

  • Training modules on the following RMNCH topics:

1. Antenatal

Delivery of a prenatal care package (care during pregnancy, preparation for childbirth for a safe delivery and emergency planning.

Danger signs of pregnancy and monitoring high-risk pregnancies.

Obstetric evaluation after 36 weeks of pregnancy and readiness.

Prenatal screening and follow-up visits.

Counseling on preventing anemia during pregnancy.

Care after abortion.

2. Postnatal

Counseling for postpartum family planning and postpartum IUCD placement.

Support during labor and delivery.

Care for the mother after birth and the newborn during the postpartum period.

Counseling during pregnancy – general care, preparation for birth and complications, preparedness, signs of danger, for women with anemia.

Prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections and reproductive tract infections (STD/RTI)

Facility care for mothers and newborns.

Maternal nutrition.

Emergency referral processes for obstetric complications.

Promotion of child spacing methods (interval IUCD), including emergency contraception.

Prevention of accidental blood exposure (AEB) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP).

Healthcare for adolescents.

  • Compile attendance, pre- and post-training test and training evaluation by the participants.
  • Training certificates.
  • Write training report.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Academic background: Medical graduate with a master’s degree in medicine and pediatrics or public health.

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the management of national public health programs

  • Experience and familiarity with Jordanian healthcare systems.

  • Excellent communication skills; and proven expertise to facilitate training.

  • Good understanding of the health sector and institutional program development context

    arrangements.

  • Excellent command of Arabic and English; written and spoken.

  • Computer skills, proficiency in MS Office application
