Linn County man pleads guilty in Eastern District Court

A Linn County man pleaded guilty Monday to soliciting sexual contact from a minor. Fifty-four-year-old Russell Alan Pirkey has entered a plea in U.S. District Court in St. Louis to one count of sexual exploitation of a child.

Pirkey admitted that he recorded himself having sexual contact with a 10-year-old girl.

As part of the settlement, Pirkey will forfeit a cell phone, a tablet and several electronic storage devices seized by police during the investigation.

Pirkey is expected to be sentenced on January 14, 2025.
