“Congress has joined hands with drug traffickers and mafia”: BJP leader Tarun Chugh

New Delhi (India), October 4 (ANI): The massive Rs 5,600 crore durg bust by Delhi Police has given the BJP ammunition to attack the Congress following allegations of the involvement of the former RTI cell chairman of the Delhi Congress. BJP general secretary Tarun Chugh said the Congress party has joined hands with drug peddlers and drug mafia.
Speaking to ANI, Chugh slammed the Congress and said the party leaders “appear” to be in an international conspiracy by the party to push the country’s youth into the “drug menace”.
He further questioned former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kerjiwal’s silence on the issue and called for strict action against it.
“Congress has joined hands with drug traffickers and mafia. Why is Arvind Kejriwal silent? Strict action must be taken… Congress leaders seem to be part of the international conspiracy to push youth into drug menace. “Interrogations must take place to find out who is involved and where the drug money is being used by Congress,” he said.

Earlier on Thursday, BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi attacked the Congress party over former Delhi Pradesh Congress RTI cell chairman’s alleged involvement in the Rs 5,600 crore drug syndicate and described it as a serious issue, alleging that the party has links had with the recent drug bust. , which states that Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Mohabbat ki Dukan’ now contains not only elements of hatred but also products related to drunkenness.
Referring to the International Drug Syndicate case, BJP leader Trivedi said: “Ye ek bahut gambhir baat hai, isse ab ye saaf ho rahi hai ki Rahul Gandhi ke Mohabbat ki Dukan mai abhi tak nafrat ke saaman toh dikh rahe hai, ab nashe ka saman bhi milne laga hai.”
In a major development in the International Drug Syndicate, an investigation by Delhi Police revealed that the mastermind behind the Rs 5,600 crore cocaine consignment allegedly had Congress connections.
The mastermind and main accused, Tushar Goyal, claims that he was the chairman of the Delhi Pradesh Congress 2021 RTI cell but left after some time. The Delhi Police is currently investigating this claim. Police are also trying to find photos of the suspect from this period.
On Wednesday, Delhi Police busted an international drug syndicate and seized over 560 kg of cocaine in the national capital in one of the largest drug busts, said Pramod Singh Kushwaha, Additional Commissioner of Police Special Cell. (ANI)
