Pan African bringing game from west, gold mining uplifts local community

When Mining Weekly’s three-person team arrived at the launch of Pan African Resources’ gold-from-dumps project just over a year ago, the area west of Johannesburg looked a bit wild. The construction mafia prevented access to the site and Mining Weekly was instructed to follow a vehicle that led several attendees along a continuous route to the turf site.
