KSP is accusing a Christian County woman of child sexual exploitation

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (KFVS) – Kentucky State Police arrest a Christian County woman on charges of child sexual exploitation.

According to KSP, on Thursday, October 3, around 11:30 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Unit arrested 33-year-old Stephanie Renee Vickers on charges of child sexual abuse material.

Vickers was arrested for an undercover investigation into Internet Crimes Against Children. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering that a suspect was sharing child sexual exploitation images online.

The investigation resulted in an interview at a home in Hopkinsville, Kentucky on October 3. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to the KSP forensic laboratory for examination.

Vickers is currently charged with the following:

  • Four counts of distribution of matter depicting a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old
  • Four counts of possession of matter depicting a minor in a sexual performance under the age of 12
  • Four counts of promoting a minor under the age of 16 in a sexual performance

Vickers was booked into the Christian County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
