Canonsburg man charged with sexual exploitation of minors

A Canonsburg man was indicted Thursday by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh on 11 charges related to the sexual exploitation of minors.

Justin A. Darby, 36, is accused by the Department of Justice of receiving, attempting to receive or distributing child sexual abuse material on multiple occasions in September and October 2021, as well as once last February.

According to the DOJ, Darby solicited a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct in February. He is also charged with destroying his message history, the DOJ said.

If convicted, Darby faces up to 30 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, or both.
