Christian Co. woman accused of child sexual exploitation

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKRN) – A Christian County woman was arrested after undercover investigators discovered she was sharing sexual abuse material involving children online, officials said.

According to Kentucky State Police, 33-year-old Stephanie Renee Vickers was arrested on October 3 and charged with 12 felony counts of child sexual exploitation.

KSP’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit opened an investigation after a suspect was discovered sharing sexual content with children under 12 years old. That investigation led to Vickers, officials said.

Officers arrived at a home in Hopkinsville on Thursday, where they interviewed the suspect and seized equipment used to distribute the images.

Vickers was charged with possession and distribution of sexual abuse of a minor under 12 years of age, and promotion of sexual abuse of a minor under 16 years of age.

The investigation is still ongoing, KSP said.

Vickers is being held in the Christian County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
