Ex-Goose Creek firefighter accused of child sexual exploitation

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – A former Goose Creek firefighter is out of a job and charged with first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, jail records show.

Goose Creek police arrested Wayne Leonard Sammons on Wednesday, where he was booked into the Hill Finklea Dentention Center. A judge did not set bond.

Goose Creek Police Chief LJ Roscoe told multiple news outlets that the Goose Creek Fire Department immediately terminated Sammons following his arrest.

The Goose Creek Police Department continues to actively investigate the case.
