Myrtle Beach man accused of sexually exploiting 14-year-old

A Myrtle Beach man is behind bars after allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old.

Sidney Lynn Burleson, 33, is charged with first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and possession of methamphetamine.

According to a police report, officers opened the criminal sexual conduct investigation on September 16 after a complainant on the 1000 block of Mr. Joe White Avenue told officers she believed Burleson was having “inappropriate relations with another tenant,” a 14-year-old period. -old girl.

The victim was sent to the Children’s Recovery Center, where she alleged Burleson “sent her sexually explicit messages via Facebook,” the report said. The messages allegedly indicate that Burleson attempted to take a nude photo of the victim.

The victim further alleged that Burleson invited her to his room and once she was inside, “pulled her on top of him and tried to kiss her.” During another incident, Burleson allegedly came to the victim’s room and “grabbed her butt and vaginal area through her clothing.” Burleson reportedly further offered the 14-year-old alcohol, which she declined.

On Friday, officers arrested Burleson at a home on the 1100 block of North Oak Road. A can of methamphetamine was reportedly found on Burleson at the jail.
