Silent Hill 2 Remake Consultant says the world would be better without you

That’s something a perfectly normal functioning, well-adjusted adult would say… right?

Jacob Geller, a popular (million+ subchannel) YouTuber and apparent “consultant” at Konami and Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake, has previously suggested that the world would be better without gamers…

“Surprise! I gave advice on the remake of Silent Hill 2! I had a really great experience working with the team. That’s why I won’t really talk about the game in public. Have fun coming up with your own take!’

On the face of it…bad enough…but his past posts have raised eyebrows due to his contempt for the community he now works for. Besides coming off as a very smug, woke defender of the industry… Supporting anti-gamer institutions like DEI consultancies isn’t the ‘W’ you think, Jacob… and based on how he’s behaving , he sounds like a real ‘winner’.

In 2019, Geller responded to a message from Compulsion games writer Bijan Stephen, who asked for the “dumbest idea” that would still make the world a better place. Geller replied bluntly in a QT: “No gamers”

Har har har.

This dismissal from the gaming community has upset fans of the game Silent Hill franchise, among others. But it doesn’t stop there, because you already know: people like Jacob are pattern individuals.

Geller’s contempt for gamers feels boundless. If you scroll through his Twitter to see his views on the gaming community, you’ll immediately see that he constantly hates gamers who fight for good games, calling them names, like “crazies” above… Or pretending that there is no organized mafia of activists behind the scenes that pretend to have ethics, while some are ultimately compromised.

It has roots that go back more than a decade. In 2013, he suggested, “Maybe there would be more girl gamers if male gamers didn’t behave so incredibly unbelievably,” which was further divisive.

His comments go off the rails when he moves to discussing far-right recruitment through gaming, which is also used in this story, in an attempt to tie today’s so-called “alt-right movements” to the GamerGate controversy… in response to Kotaku of all places. With such a track record, it’s no surprise that his involvement in the Silent Hill 2 remake has concerned those who feel the game’s development has been compromised by ideological agendas rather than staying true to its spirit from the original…

It’s further proof that the very people who work in these media are usually the most racist, bigoted and hateful beings on the planet, projecting themselves onto everyone else to distract.

The post was published in late May and included a video of Bloober Team developers discussing how they wanted to modernize the game for a new generation of players – here’s a screenshot of that now-deleted post:

However, the phrase “modern audience” raised suspicions that the game was being injected with a DEI agenda, especially after the redesign of certain characters like Angela.

Konami’s decision to remove the post has only fueled these concerns, leading to speculation that the studio is quietly trying to market the game as non-political while still infusing it with identity-driven content.

The industry insiders continue to deceive, mislead and distract you. They tell you over and over (like in this case) that they don’t like you… and at the same time ask you to buy their game. It seems like there’s no point… but then again, if you’re an activist pretending to be a gamer… It is.

…and they can’t stand it being pointed out.
