Imposition of a curfew for the municipality of Bomaa and its surroundings in the Ahafo region

The Minister of the Interior, by executive instrument, has extended the curfew imposed on the municipality of Bomaa and its environs in the Ahafo region. 11:00 PM to 4:00 AM with effect from Tuesday, October 8, 2024

The government urges leaders, elders, opinion leaders, youth and people of the area to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges they face and use non-violent means to channel their energies into ensuring of peace in the area.

Meanwhile, there is a total ban on all persons in the municipality of Bomaa and its environs from carrying weapons, ammunition or any offensive weapon, and any person found with weapons or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.
