Burna Boy: Police release Speed ​​Darlington

Controversial media personality, Darlington Okoye, alias Speed ​​Darlington, has been released on bail from police custody.

Darlington was released on Tuesday after meeting his bail conditions.

This was disclosed by human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju through his X page.

Adeyanju said Darlington was arrested in Lagos last Friday and subsequently transferred to Abuja where he was detained following a formal complaint filed by Burna Boy.

Burna Boy accused Darlington of defaming and cyberstalking him.

In a viral video, Darlington had asked Burna Boy to explain how he won the Grammy Award for his album ‘Twice As Tall’, mocking his association with controversial American rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’, who has multiple charges against him charged with sexual exploitation and sexual exploitation. human trafficking.

After his comment, Darlington was secretly arrested by police.

Adeyanju, however, appreciated those who contributed to the release of the singer and commended the police in the IRT department for their professionalism.
