WORKING SUMMARY

Ensure effective and efficient accounting and administrative management of MedGlobal programs in Ukraine in response to the humanitarian crisis.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain all MedGlobal accounting processes to ensure compliance with national laws and regulations.
  • Manage accounting and tax data of MedGlobal operations in Ukraine, including preparation and submission of financial, tax, statistical reports etc.
  • Prepare and oversee all matters related to HR accounting, such as payroll, timesheets and national staff leaves, employee file maintenance and reporting, to ensure that the employment standards applied to local MedGlobal staff in comply with local labor and tax laws, etc. .
  • Advertise new positions and track documentation of the entire recruitment process, including on-boarding.
  • Off-board documentation for employees upon departure and complete any required approvals.
  • Manage the petty cash and associated files (cash book).
  • Complete the bank books and related files.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Support in preparing and submitting payment requests and transfer requests to the head office; Assist the staff of the Country Representative and MedGlobal Ukraine in the management of expenditure and procurement matters.
  • Collaborate with relevant MedGlobal headquarters staff for the preparation of internal and external audits;
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/audit.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in accounting for INGOs, INGO representative office, local NGOs and/or charitable foundations is desirable.
  • HR experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Ukrainian tax regulations and Ukrainian labor law.
  • Proficiency in computer skills (MS Office, accounting software).
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a varied workload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Flexible and with a positive attitude.
  • Good knowledge of the written and spoken Ukrainian and English language.
