Country Liquor Den in Khuntuni and Tigiria: Busted!

Cuttack: The Cuttack Rural police on Thursday raided Khuntuni and Tigiria and seized a large quantity of rural liquor and arrested two mafias in connection with it.

According to reports, Khuntuni and Tigiria police conducted a raid at Dalua Jungle under Khuntuni police limits and seized over a hundred liters of liquor and pocha (fermented rice). Fertilizers, molasses and pots used to make illegal liquor have also been seized.

Meanwhile, Tigiria police also raided the rural liquor den in Karadapalli area and seized a huge quantity of illegal liquor and ingredients used for making the drink.

Yesterday, Cuttack Rural SP Prateek Singh made a surprise visit to Athagarh and Tigiria police stations after which the raids were conducted.
