DeFuniak Springs teen arrested on 60 counts of child pornography

WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – A year-long investigation by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office Cyber ​​Crimes Unit led to the arrest of a DeFuniak Springs teen on 60 counts of child pornography.

In 2023, the WCSO said they received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) related to possible child exploitation in Walton County.

According to a press release, the cybercrime unit has launched an extensive investigation to determine the origin of the tip. This led investigators to identify 19-year-old Donovan Anthony Clinch as the suspect.

On September 17, a search warrant was executed at 380 Lakeview Drive in DeFuniak Springs. Investigators collected evidence for a digital forensic investigation.

Investigators said they discovered that Clinch knowingly possessed child sexual abuse material and bestiality content.

On Wednesday, Clinch was arrested on 54 counts of possession of child pornography, five counts of possession of pornography involving sex with animals, and one count of unlawful use of a two-way communication device.

Clinch was granted a $100,000 bond and remains in custody at this time.
