49ers at Seahawks – ‘Thursday Night Football’ Week 6 Game Picks, Open Thread

The San Francisco 49ers have made their way to the West Coast to kick off Week 6 of NFL action against the Seattle Seahawks. Tonight’s edition of Thursday night football features a few NFC West teams looking to make noise at the top of their division.

Interestingly, the AFC East and NFC West have nearly identical rankings. The Seahawks are currently at the top with a 3-2 record, the same as the Buffalo Bills. The Niners have struggled a bit early this season and have a 2-3 record as the second-place team in the division – the same as the New York Jets.

Seattle hopes to dominate at home to put some distance between San Francisco and itself. Sound familiar? It should happen, with Buffalo hoping to do the same to the Jets, but they’ll have to accomplish the feat on the road. Should the Niners win, they would take a half-game lead over the Seahawks with a head-to-head win, leaving both teams at 3-3.
