Former Missouri Southern Lion Cam Martin Signs Summer League Deal With Milwaukee Bucks | KSNF/KODE

JOPLIN, MO — Former Missouri Southern Lions center Cam Martin has signed with the Milwaukee Bucks Summer League team to play in Las Vegas, according to BJ Rains of Bronco Nation News.

Martin had a unique college basketball career, playing for 7 years.

He played one season at Jacksonville State from 2017-2018, three years at MSSU from 2018-2021. Martin then transferred to Kansas and played two seasons there from 2021-2023. And played his final season with the Boise State Broncos from 2023-2024.

Martin stated that this is his first healthy game since MSSU, where he was medically redshirted while playing with the Jayhawks.

During his time as a Lion, Martin was one of the best big men in the country in Division II. During his career in Joplin, he averaged 23.7 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.

He was a three-time Division II All-American and three-time All-MIAA player.

Martin helped the Lions reach the NCAA Division II National Tournament twice in his three seasons, including an appearance in the Sweet 16 during the 2018-19 season.

In his final year with the Lions, Martin averaged 25 points and 9 rebounds per game.

Martin currently ranks 2nd on the Missouri Southern All-Time Scoring List with 2,040 points.
