Guide to the Best Donut Spots in the Boise Area

A sweet treat every now and then never hurts, right? Donuts are my absolute favorite food, so I’ve put together this list of my seven favorite local donut shops in Boise and Meridian! 🍩

National Donut and Egyptian Kitchen Market offers many different flavors and types of donuts, including cake donuts and specialty donut bars. Their claim to fame is their oversized donuts as big as your head! Country Donut is located on Overland Rd in Boise and is a standout spot of mine.

DK Donuts located on West State Street in Boise, is an iconic Boise staple. DK has been open for over 20 years and is even expanding to Nampa soon. It has the juiciest and most flavorful donuts in my opinion, and over 25 different flavors. DK has it all and should be on your donut bucket list.

Duck Donuts on Eagle Rd in Meridian is one of the most unique donut shops in Idaho. Duck Donuts offers unlimited customizable donut options to create the donut version of yourself! They offer daily assorted boxes of donuts, such as the Breakfast Box and the Duck Dozen. From plain and simple to flavorful and chaotic, Duck Donuts has something for everyone.

If you hear about a potato donut, you’ve heard it right! Guru Donutslocated on West Main Street in Boise and on North Eagle Road in Eagle, is an iconic local donut spot and is a fan favorite for potato donuts. It has many unique flavors such as Alice in Wonderland and strawberry champagne. Guru is definitely a signature spot in Idaho.

Who said you have to be big to be great? Manna’s Donuts is a food truck on South Broadway Avenue in Boise that sells donuts from original glazed to apple fritters bigger than a dinner plate! During the summer months, you can also get a fresh acai bowl. There’s something about a sweet treat that can brighten your day, and Manna’s does that for me every time!

My donuts is a must-try donut shop in Boise. Located on North Milwaukee Street in Boise, My Donuts gives you the classic family-owned donut shop vibe. I can always count on the old-fashioned glazed to satisfy my cravings. All donut varieties are made fresh in-house daily and only a limited amount of each flavor is made, so make sure to arrive closer to opening time to ensure you get your favorites!

Sweet sensations, located on South Vista Avenue in Boise, offers cake donuts, donut bars, and even donut holes. You can get everything from a single donut to boxes of fancy donuts, but my favorite is a single blueberry cake donut. Sometimes I even get a free donut hole or two! What’s better than a donut? A free donut!
