Cynthia Ann White, age 69, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away on July 15, 2024 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. She was born on August 25, 1954 and grew up in Pocahontas, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Adrian L. White and Martha White. She graduated from Pocahontas High School, where she played clarinet, oboe, and saxophone and was a majorette in the marching band. She moved to Jonesboro, where she earned a degree in banking and finance from Arkansas State University. Cynthia was employed by the State of Arkansas for many years as a State Bank Examiner. She worked at First National Banks in both Paragould and Jonesboro. She moved from Little Rock to Rogers in 1992 and worked at Arvest Bank in Bentonville and Rogers for 13 years. Cynthia loved her hometown of Pocahontas and the First United Methodist Church she attended growing up. She loved watching old classic movies, westerns, Andy Griffith, Little House on the Prairie, and The Waltons. She enjoyed symphony performances and Broadway musicals. She enjoyed shopping at flea markets and antique stores and sharing special moments with family and friends. Her greatest passion was rescuing and rehoming dogs or taking them in herself. For many years she worked at Ozark Haven Animal Rescue assisting with rescues in Arkansas and Missouri. Cynthia leaves behind her many friends and the dedicated and loving staff at Innisfree Nursing and Rehab as well as those at The Meadows Assisted Living where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior on June 22, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adrian L. White and Martha White; and one great-niece. Cynthia is survived by one brother, Dr. Charles A. White (Rebecca) of Fayetteville; one sister, Karen Blair (John) of Rogers; one niece, Lauren Bass (Justin) of Frisco, Texas; three nephews, John Brennan Blair (Jorja) of Rogers, Brian White of Fayetteville, and Dr. Kyle G. Blair (Sharon) of Rogers; and several great-nephews and one great-niece. Two services are planned: The first service in Rogers will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Rogers with Ron Simpson officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. The second service in Pocahontas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2024 at McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas with Pastor Pat Bodenhamer officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.bernafuneralhomes.com.
