Lawrence man Earon Cooper found shot to death in Topeka mall

Officers were called around midnight to a report of a shooting in the 2900 block of SW Topeka Boulevard, where they found Earon Cooper, 31, suffering from a gunshot wound, said Topeka Police Lt. Ronnie Connell.

Cooper was pronounced dead at the scene, Connell said.

Cooper became the eleventh murder victim in Topeka this year.

Police are still investigating, Connell said.
