The actress’s mother, Nicole Rockman, and her stepfather, Rob Compton, closed the fundraiser on July 18 after surpassing their $30,000 goal.

“Please know how much you helped this family in our most difficult circumstances,” the couple wrote in a closing message. “Thank you for your care.”

Laverock was hospitalized in May for an unspecified “medical emergency” and taken to St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, Canada, where her body was “comminuted” from a fall.

The Hallmark actress was subsequently placed on a ventilator and underwent “multiple extensive surgeries.” Her family provided updates on the fundraising page, noting that Laverock was “doing well” despite her recovery being “unclear” at the time.

Laverock eventually got back on track, but her mother acknowledged that her “road to recovery will be long.”

“I will be setting up a mailbox soon for all your cards and well wishes,” Rockman posted on her daughter’s Facebook page.

Rockman told the Los Angeles Times that she planned to sue St. Paul’s Hospital over Laverock’s accident.

“We have a case,” Rockman shared, releasing a photo of her daughter in a hospital bed. “All we care about is that Mamie can recover and that she’s alive and that she’s fighting and that she’s strong.”
