Little Rock Zoo Hosts Taylor Swift-Themed Birthday Party for Zina the Elephant

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Many families took advantage of the nice weather Saturday to wish Zina, one of the elephants at the Little Rock Zoo, a happy 64th birthday.

Zina has been at the Little Rock Zoo since 2011, after traveling with circuses for most of her childhood.

She and Babe the elephant were treated to special treats and a Taylor Swift-themed party as part of the festivities.

“It was a huge party, everything was planned. We had a cake, decorations, bracelets, cards for her, and we had special enrichment for her in the yard, with a Taylor Swift theme,” said zookeeper Chris Sauder.

Sophie, the zoo’s third elephant, is receiving hospice care. The Little Rock Zoo specializes in caring for elderly elephants.
