CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System had a large turnout for its Back to School Block Party at Kenwood High School on Saturday.

Several organizations were on hand to showcase their programs, including Donna Brann with Families in Transition, which helps homeless children in the system. This year, she said, there were 1,352 homeless students in CMCSS.

At Saturday’s event, school children enjoyed bouncy castles, food, games, and were given school supplies and new shoes. There was also a visit from Batman and Spider-Man.
