The Crew lost 2-1 to Atlanta United tonight in the away match at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Black & Gold have scored 43 points in their first 23 games of the season, the second-most in club history during that period.

Columbus has 22 goals against in 23 games played, the most in the league. That ties Columbus with the 2011 season for the third-fewest goals against in 23 games in club history.

The Crew posted a possession percentage of 65.6 tonight. It’s the 21st straight MLS game they’ve had more possession than their opponent.

Striker Diego Rossi scored the opening goal for Columbus in the 36th minute of the match, his ninth goal of the season and his twelfth in all competitions.

Rossi has contributed 10 goals in his last seven appearances (five goals, five assists).

Rossi has contributed 19 goals this year, more than when he won the Golden Boot in 2020 and more than the 23 goals he scored in 2019.

Midfielder Aziel Jackson made his debut for the Crew, coming on in the 88th minute.
