Man arrested for murder of Elias Delk in Augusta on June 15

An arrest has been made in connection with the violent death of a young man in Augusta last month.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release over the weekend stating that RCSO and the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Creston Curry, 37, on Friday on Sherman Street in Augusta for the murder and armed robbery of Elias Jkhael Delk.

Delk, 28, was found dead June 15 in the parking lot of a Dollar General on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. He appeared to have suffered multiple blunt force injuries.

Curry was also wanted on other outstanding warrants unrelated to this case.
