Idaho lawmakers react to President Biden’s withdrawal from presidential race

Boise, Idaho (CBS2) — As news breaks that President Joe Biden is dropping out of the 2024 presidential race, Idaho lawmakers are reacting.

Boise Mayor Lauren McLean responded on Twitter, saying: “President Biden, thank you for everything you have done for our country throughout your career and especially for everything you have done for and with Boise over the past four years. From passing the most transformative climate package our country has ever seen, to CHIPS, charging stations, housing, child care, and so much more, you have shown how much you care about investing in people. I know this decision must have been incredibly difficult. I wish you and your family the very best and look forward to working with your Administration as you complete your time in the White House. Thank you for your service and leadership.”
