Topeka man arrested for alleged drug possession in Osage County Saturday

A Topeka man was arrested in Osage County on Saturday on suspicion of drug possession.

According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, at 1:35 p.m. Saturday afternoon, an Osage County Deputy conducted a traffic stop for an alleged traffic violation at the intersection of U.S. Highway 56 and South Topeka Avenue. During a search of the suspect vehicle, driven by 27-year-old Aaron M. Griffith of Topeka, illegal narcotics were reportedly located.

Griffith was arrested and booked into the Osage County Jail on suspicion of possession of meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Formal charges are pending.
