Boston Celtics outline components of potential dynasty

The Boston Celtics are in the process of creating a potential dynasty after signing forward Sam Hauser to a four-year contract, making him the seventh player on the Celtics roster under contract through 2026 and beyond. Payton Pritchard is under contract through 2027, Jrue Holiday is under contract through 2027, Jaylen Brown and Derrick White are also under contract through 2028, Jayson Tatum is under contract through 2029 and Kristaps Porzingis is under lock and key through 2026. Al Horford, the team’s oldest member and current sixth man, is also likely to retire as a Celtic.

This last championship the Celtics won was built on the efforts of these players, the core of the Celtics roster. If the Celtics can find a way to keep the band together, they could potentially be a dynasty, similar to predecessors like the Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat in the 2010s, and the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2000s.

The only thing this team has to watch out for is the new salary cap rules. The Celtics owners have to be willing to spend a lot of money to keep the team together. Otherwise, the team could fall apart before it reaches its potential.
