FORECAST DATA:

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Over the next few days, high pressure will move west, resulting in an atypical, active weather pattern during the last full week of July.

Daily, scattered rain chances return to the forecast starting Monday afternoon and evening. Periods of on and off rain are likely to continue until at least Thursday, with some sporadic rain chances possibly continuing into next weekend. Pockets of heavy rain, lightning, thunderstorms and perhaps some gusty winds are the main things to watch for with these rain chances.

As for rain totals, it looks like most areas will get at least an inch of rain, with 2 to 4 inches of rain expected over the next seven days. It won’t be raining all day, every day, non-stop at your house, but for those who do get heavier rain, some minor flooding should be watched out for, especially in those common problem areas/poor drainage areas.

An added bonus to this optimistic rainfall outlook? Cooler temperatures! Additional cloud cover and rain-cooled air will likely bring temperatures into the 80s by Tuesday. Can’t complain about the end of July!

We’ll keep you updated on any changes in the coming days, but make sure to keep your umbrella handy this week!

Have a nice evening. ~ Mia
