Study on the Impact of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act on Trans…

U.S. Senator Gary Peters (D-Mich.), chairman of the Subcommittee on Surface Transportation, Maritime, Cargo, and Ports, will convene a subcommittee hearing titled “Examining the Impact of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act on Transportation Infrastructure” on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 10 a.m. ET in Lansing, Mich.

In 2021, Congress passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which authorized historic investments in surface transportation and port infrastructure projects. This hearing will examine the opportunities and challenges in implementing the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law at the state and local levels, including successes and potential areas for improvement in rolling out discretionary and formula funding to rural, urban, and suburban areas in Michigan.
