Hawaii’s Star Wide Receiver Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting Family Member

Steven McBride is Hawaii’s best football player and now he must contend with an arrest from the past.

The star was arrested this morning on charges of assault on a family member or household member.

According to Honolulu police records, McBride, 22, was arrested at 7 a.m.

McBride came to Hawaii after transferring from the University of Kansas. Last year, McBride transferred to UH.

He led the Rainbow Warriors with a team-high 1,204 receiving yards on 63 receptions. He scored nine touchdowns.

This could be rescinded, but McBride would have to explain the arrest to NFL Scouts.
