Truck seen dangling from Louisiana overpass

Traffic on I-10 East in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was backed up Monday morning after a truck struck the wall of an overpass and then drove through it.

Several photos on social media show the truck’s cabin dangling over the viaduct. According to WBRZ, the driver of the truck was thrown from the water by the impact.

The Baton Rouge news station also reported that the coroner was called to the scene of the accident.

Police said the truck went into a jackknifing motion on I-10 near the split from I-110, which is likely what caused the driver to lose control.

The identity of the victim is not yet known.
