Simsbury resident killed in bicycle accident in Hebron: State Police

A cyclist who was found alone after a crash in Hebron died of his injuries despite help from a passerby, state police said.

HEBRON, CT — A Simsbury cyclist was killed Sunday in a bicycle crash in Hebron, state police said.

The accident happened around 1:00 p.m. near 667 Wall St (Route 316) in Hebron.

According to an incident report, a passerby first saw an unattended bicycle leaning against a guardrail and then a man on the other side of the guardrail, near the edge of the woods, with an “obvious leg injury.”

The passerby applied a tourniquet to the man’s leg and called for others to help until medical personnel arrived, state police said.

According to the incident report, the man was taken to Windham Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Officers identified the man as Cui Lin, 38, whose last known address is in Simsbury, state police said.
