Near normal conditions with limited chance of rain this week – Indianapolis News | Indiana Weather | Indiana Traffic

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Today is a pretty good day, as it wasn’t too hot or terribly humid. There are also a few heavier showers, especially east of Indy in the afternoon.

The chance of rain seems to be greatest in the middle of this week. After that we will have a somewhat drier period, with temperatures that remain on the high side.

Monday night: Local showers and thunderstorms are possible into the evening hours. Activity will be limited primarily to areas east of I-69. Lows will fall into the mid 60s.

Tuesday: Another near normal July day with an elevated humidity gauge will be on deck. There will be a chance of local showers and storms in the afternoon and evening hours. Highs look set to climb back into the mid 80s.

Wednesday: Wednesday will see more showers and storms. Scattered activity is possible Wednesday afternoon and night, with material moving mainly southeast. Highs will reach the mid 80s, and we will also be close to the miserable category with humidity.

Weather forecast for 8 days: Temperatures will drop slightly on Thursday with dew points in the low 80s. However, we will still feel a bit uncomfortable through Thursday with dew points in the mid 60s. Then a slow warm-up will take place towards the last weekend of July. Highs could reach the upper 80s in some places this weekend.
