Social media is exploding with requests for proof of life of President Joe Biden after five days without public appearances. Biden was last seen in public on Wednesday evening, when he landed in Delaware and disembarked from Air Force One in Dover.

The president after he diagnosed with COVID-19, paused his election campaign and surprised last Sunday with the announcement, made through X, that he would no longer run for re-election in 2024. In his statement, the president promised to speak publicly about his decision, which he has not done so far, which has increased speculation about his whereabouts and state of health.

The president’s top advisers were reportedly confident Sunday afternoon that he would stay in the race, but that too raised more questions than answers.

Jeff Blehar, a writer for National Reviewraised serious doubts about the process by which Biden ended his campaign. Blehar noted that the withdrawal announcement appeared to have been written by someone else and that the president has not been seen in public since, increasing uncertainty about his health. He further noted that Biden’s approval of Kamala Harris was communicated via a tweet sent from an account that does not belong to the president.

As if this wasn’t enough, Frank Bidenthe president’s younger brother, confirmed that concerns about Biden’s health played a crucial role in the decision to suspend his campaign.
