Topeka Hobby Shop Moves to New Location

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Dee and Mee Hobbies will be moving locations in September.

The store, which focuses on selling RC vehicles, puzzles, craft supplies and board games, is leaving Fairlawn Plaza after more than 20 years at the shopping center.

The new location will be on the northeast corner of 2253 SW 10th Avenue.

KSNT 27 News spoke with Earl Wallace, manager of Dee and Bee Hobbies, who told us they are moving because they need more space.

“We’re packed. We just have so much product,” Wallace said. “We need a bigger space and there’s so much more that we know the community wants that we don’t have. We definitely need a bigger place to bring all that stuff in.”

The store will close its Fairlawn location on September 2.

They tell 27 News they hope to open their new location on September 7, but they’re not sure if that will be possible.

They say they will update their Facebook page with the information as soon as they know more.
