Tiger Woods is in Oakland Hills to watch his son Charlie compete in the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship this week. A photo of the golfer is now going viral on social media.

Woods was involved in a car accident in 2021 that nearly left him with the loss of his right leg. The injury has hampered his ability to consistently play at a high level on the PGA Tour ever since.

After months of rehabilitation, he returned to the course in April 2022 – appropriately enough at The Masters in Augusta.

Since then he has been competing, but he also doesn’t compete. He is trying to get stronger and is struggling with other health problems.

This season, Tiger has set himself the goal of playing in one tournament per month, which he has managed to do so far, with the exception of March.

Woods has played in all four majors and made the cut at Augusta National, although he was eliminated early in the other four events.

This last photo of the golfer gives an indication why.

Tigers Woods has an ugly scar on his right leg.

While cheering on his son Charlie at the US Junior Amateur Championship, he was photographed wearing legless shorts.

A horrific scar runs from his ankle to his knee, showing how serious the crash was.

The leg, which still causes Woods pain, hasn’t stopped him from walking the course at Oakland Hills. Although he can’t caddie due to USGA rules, he’s following Charlie around while he’s playing in the tournament.

If you didn’t understand the gravity of that accident, which nearly cost him his right leg again, you should now. Playing through the pain is just a testament to his determination and dedication to the game of golf.
