Tallahassee man arrested for attacking 3-year-old girl in his home

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee man is in custody after allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 3-year-old girl, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Charles Hickson is charged with sexual assault of a child under the age of 12 and kidnapping of a child under the age of 13, court documents show.

According to police, Hickson was supervising four children Saturday night, including the 3-year-old girl who is autistic and cannot speak.

Hickson is accused of taking the child to his own home and abusing her.

Investigators wrote in an affidavit that the 3-year-old girl’s mother found Hickson with the girl.

The prosecution could seek the death penalty against Hickson.
