Nurse John brings THE SHORT STAFF TOUR to the Boch Center

John Dela Cruz, known to his legions of fans as Nurse John, will be touring live for the first time this fall with the highly anticipated Short-Staffed Tour, performing at the Boch Center Shubert Theatre on Saturday, September 28, 2024. The event marks Nurse John’s transition from the digital space to the stage and is a major milestone in his career. Tickets go on sale Friday, July 26, 2024.

A registered nurse by profession, John has taken the digital world by storm with his relatable and hilarious commentary on healthcare. Known for his ability to turn the daily struggles of hardworking, underpaid and underappreciated healthcare professionals into comedy gold, Nurse John has over 12 million followers worldwide. His content feels like a conversation with a best friend at work, where he and his audience can spill their traumas, cry, scream and laugh together, which resonates deeply with audiences who appreciate his raw and authentic humor.

The Short-Staffed Tour is a strategic move to capitalize on Nurse John’s immense online popularity by bringing his comedy to a live audience. The performances will feature new, exclusive material created specifically for the tour, as well as VIP packages that give fans the chance to meet Nurse John up close and personal.

“I never thought I would be on stage, doing stand-up comedy, and making my best friends laugh, cry, and feel seen! It’s so surreal, but it’s happening and I’m excited,” Dela Cruz says. “I’ve worked so hard to create the comedy experience of a lifetime and I can’t wait to share it with everyone. Get ready to be short-staffed!”

The Short-Staffed Tour combines the digital success of a social media influencer with the live performance arena. With a huge and engaged following, the tour is expected to sell out theaters across the region.
