Wolves Back in the US – Follow the Action with Us

Gary O’Neil’s team have already completed a trip to Marbella, where they spent a week training intensively in the Spanish sun, ending the visit with a 1-0 win over Como in a training match.

Wolves returned to Compton for the final seven days, beating Bristol City 3-0 in another friendly last weekend, and today they fly across the pond.

The team will be based at Inter Miami’s Florida Blue Training Center in Fort Lauderdale for the duration of the trip, following in the footsteps of some of the world’s best players since the center opened in 2020.

World champions Argentina, 2021 European Championship winners Italy, Spanish powerhouse Barcelona and the US women’s national team have all used the facility since it opened.

During the two-week trip, Wolves will play three friendlies, the last of which will be against German side RB Leipzig at Inter Miami’s Chase Stadium on August 3.

The match kicks off at 7.30pm local time and Wolves will become the first Premier League team to play at the 21,500-seater stadium.

In this match, Hwang Hee-chan and Matheus Cunha will face their former club, who finished fourth in the Bundesliga last season and qualified for the Champions League.

Leipzig’s players include Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko and Spanish European Championship star Dani Olmo.

The first two games of the tour are against West Ham and Crystal Palace in the first Stateside Cup pre-season tournament.

From their home base in Fort Lauderdale, the Wolves travel north to take on the Hammers at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville on July 27. The game kicks off at 7:00 p.m.

They will face former manager Julen Lopetegui and former captain Max Kilman, who completed a £40million move earlier this month.

They then travel up the East Coast to Annapolis to play Palace at Navy–Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on July 31. The game kicks off at 8 p.m. local time.

In addition to the games, the Wolves will participate in several fan events as they return to the U.S. for the first time in 43 years. During their last visit, they took on the Jacksonville Tea Men in a friendly in May 1981, with John Richards scoring in a 4-1 loss at the Jacksonville Gator Bowl.
