Interstate 70 closed between Parachute, Rifle for brush fire

Interstate 70 is closed in both directions between Parachute and Rifle for a brush fire, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Fire crews were responding to a brush fire near Rulison at approximately 3:43 pm, the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office said in a post on Facebook.

The highway is closed between exit 75 for Parachute and exit 90 for Colorado 13 and Rifle. Drivers can detour using US 6.
