Colts training camp

WESTFIELD, Ind. – The Indianapolis Colts kick off training camp this week, a sign that the NFL season will be in full swing before you know it.

Players will report to Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield on Wednesday. The team’s first open training is on Thursday, July 25.

Some practices are charging a fee this year

The team will hold 12 practices that are open to the public. Seven of the 12 practices are free for all ages, but five of them (July 27, July 28, August 4, August 14 and August 15) include a $5 fee for fans 18 and older.

The team said proceeds from the fee will go to the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis.

Regardless of whether there is an admission fee for the practice, fans must purchase a ticket through the Colts’ website to gain entry.

Parking and safety information

Fans can park in Lots E and G, with ADA parking available in all lots. On select days, Lots C and F are also available. Parking is $10 the day of the event, but fans can park for $5 if they obtain a parking pass in advance.

All fans will be screened prior to entering the field and must allow additional time for screening procedures. Training camp will also follow the NFL’s “Clear Bag” policy.

No outside food or drink is allowed. The team said there will be daily camp specials on food, drinks and merchandise available.

Players’ signatures

There are currently no formal signing sessions for Colts players.

The team said autographs will only be available “after practice” and that fans will not have access to the players before practices are scheduled.

“Signatures are not guaranteed and are subject to player availability,” the Colts said in a press release.

Weather forecast

In case of bad weather, the Colts move their practice to the Grand Park Events Center.

However, there is a much more limited amount of seating available at the venue, meaning fewer fans can attend training.

The team is closing Colts City and hospitality suites. Fans who are unable to attend indoor practice will have their parking and ticket fees refunded.
