The new trophy will consist of a 19.4-pound, hand-carved potato, made of North Idaho Douglas fir, and a metal cutout of the Gem State engraved with the logos of both schools. The new trophy will replace the Battle of the Domes Trophy which was retired at the end of the 2022 season. Idaho leads the all-time series between the two schools 32-13, but the record is 3-2 over the last 5 seasons. Idaho won the most recent game, beating Idaho State 63-21 last season.
